Greg Ferrando came to be a driving instructor in a most unusual way.  In the late 80's he worked in the movie business as a stuntman, mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Eventually moving to Maui in 1992.  He and a retired Los Angeles stuntman began training would be stunt people in the fine skills of high falls, fight scenes, tumbling out of moving cars and especially stunt driving.

One day a woman asked if he could teach her teenage daughter how to drive. "Normal driving" she stressed.

He responded "just call a driving school".  To his surprise It turned out there was no driving school on Maui.  An entrepreneurial plan was hatched.  A-Plus Driving School hit the streets in 1996.

Over the past 23 years A-Plus has instructed over 2,500 students.  Some were beginners, many had experience.

Some just needed to fine tune specific skills, such as; parallel parking, lane changes or merging onto highways.

Greg found that many students needed a car to use for the DMV road test.  Providing a road test car has become a valuable service for many of his students.  Road test preparation specific to each DMV location is a staple of the services Greg provides.
